BBGS Training Seminars June 2017
The British Boer Goat Society is delighted to announce that during his trip from South Africa to the UK in June to judge the Royal Three Counties Boer Goat classes Johan Strauss will be conducting two Boer Goat Training Seminars. The two locations in East Sussex and Derbyshire have been selected to try and allow as many people as possible to attend. The days are aimed at all Boer Goat keepers both commercial, pedigree and hobby breeders, novice and experienced. The cost is £30 per person to attend and includes buffet lunch and light refreshments. Good parking and access is available at both venues.

10.30am Demonstration by JS on the Breed standards and how they relate to the commercial viability of the breed
11.00am Assessing animals for Stud, Commercial and Flock categories – Practical demonstration with live animals
12.00am Buffet Lunch
13.00pm Assessing animals for Stud, Commercial and Flock categories – Practical demonstration with live animals
14.30pm Opportunity for attendees to place groups of animals by order of merit (mock show classes)
15.45pm Questions for Johan Strauss
The event is open to members and non-members but number of places are limited, please try and encourage potential new Boer Goat Breeders to attend.
Both venues have high health status so for biosecurity reasons attendees are asked to please wear clean clothes and footwear that hasn’t been in contact with livestock and poultry, and clean vehicles please.
